Has anyone replaced their parking brake cables? Can't get a good adjustment on the parking brakes, replaced the shoes etc.. but, when adjusting them I get them to lock the wheels, backed off the adjuster 8 clicks and if I adjust to no contact when I press the parking brake pedal down It goes all the way without no engagement. I then tried pressing the parking brake down 4 clicks and then adjusting the shoes to hold lock the wheel (forcing by hand) and then backed off the shoes 2 clicks. releasing the parking brake and checking and the wheel drum rubs the shoes but not locked. I backed off again then pedal went to the floor. I tightened the adjuster by the pedal and got minimum engagement. I am thinking I need to replace the parking brake cables but haven't do that job before on this car. Has anyone done that job and is it straight forward or are there some items I should to pay extra attention.
