Hello again,
I was searching through older threads and found one that was talking about the navi to non-navi dash conversion and one of the replies had linked a series of photos that included one with the stock navigation screen displaying a backup camera feed. I'm guessing it's just a kit, but now I'm wondering if I can reprogram the oem screen to do different things while keeping A/C controls. Is this possible or am I delusional?

Non Navi owner here...it's most definitely do able it's just a matter of how much time do you want to spend reverse engineering their programs and hardware.

Idea here: Maybe you could find a navi screen/unit from another model that has what you want. I don't know how but I definitely think it's in the realm of reality.

My inner Electronic Technician is telling me you can definitely figure out a way.

 

Maybe I will try to later down the line. Not good with much but it could be worth it
