what exact light is this --the red SRS light?
thats probably the sensor that fails- we have a special 10 year 150,000 mile warranty on that- call your dealer and ask when you can come in
its a free repair if its one of the normal parts that fail and caused the extended warranty
When the light is on- you have NO airbag operation

so its the SIDE airbag light- in yellow
ok - what do you have sitting on the seat? briefcase, groceries or buddy layed way back in the seat or leaning against the window?
that will trick the weight sensor in the seat and turn off the side airbag
Have a read of the owner manual- all this stuff is right there~
