All of a sudden yesterday my DRL light came on. After pulling over and looking my day time running lights were off. We all know that they should be on but for some reason they decided to just turn off. I checked emergency break and that was off and so I decided to flicker my highbeams on and off and they day time running lights came back on. Then this morning when I was driving my girlfriend to work I turned the car off as we where waiting outside and when I turned the car back on they where off. I went over some train tracks on my way home and they turned back on. Anyone else ever had this problem or know what could be the problem?

maybe one of the bulbs were out or a connection was loose?

 

anything blocking the photoresistor? check to see if any dirt or shit is on it..other than that i dont know..

 

Where can this photoresister be found? Everything under my hood is super clean but if you could post a picture of it so I can check it out that would be great thanks

 

its in the inside of the car, on the front of the windshield i believe...i dont know exactly as i have a US car

 

I dont think we even have the photoresistors becuase whenever the car is started and the engine is running the DRLs will come on.

Try to check your highbeam bulb connection, take it off clean it and plug it back in.

 

make sure your high beam bulbs are in securely, and check to make sure that their not on the verge of burning out. then check the drl module itself, its located right under the dash on the drivers side. if all the connections there appear to be ok, remove the module. once removed open up the screws for the cover and check it to make sure all the solder connections are intact. i had this same problem on my old 00 tl-p, two of the soldered connections were broken. im guessing the subs were the culprit lol.

 

Is it possible to get a picture of the drl module so i can take it apart or will it be clearly marked so I know? I am at work right now and don't have my car so I can't look right now
