What are other symptoms?

The "88" and the backwards "L" is shown on the air conditioning display? If thats the case, I would imagine that its the control unit which sells for nearly $200 at the dealership.

no everything is working fine but occasionally it is very very cold when set to 61 degrees much colder than it should be so i pulled out the manual for my Accord and it show how to run the check by turning on the AC to 60 then pushing the "AUTO and OFF' buttons simultaniously until "88" flashes then it will use the individual segments of each "8" to tell you what is wrong...does that help explain?
what i am needing is the meaning of the two segments lit up in my display
