hey guys, my friend has a 99 TLP, its having an issue with no brake lights coming on

The center brake works.

all bulbs check out.

ANY idea's??

i tried searching but i keep getting an error telling me to contact the webmaster.

 

did you try new bulbs or just visual- they can fool you!
If the center light works the switch at the pedal is ok
Next- use a 12 volt test light at the connectors for the bulbs
If power is good there- try new bulbs, If no power- look for loose ground wire or corrossion
in the bulb sockets or wires
Do you get ANY corner lights working to show there is power there- parking lights- turn signal work?

 

yup everything works except the brakes. all 4 lights don't light when the brake is applied. only brake light that works is the center brake light.

 

How exactly do all the bulbs check out- did you put them in another vehicle and they worked, or use VOM to check for opens, or just visually inspect, or- ?

 

i took a new bulb and tested every socket. my dmm broke recently, i haven't replaced it yet
