Can I switch a tranny out of a 2000 3.2 TL and put it in my 1999 3.2 TL?

 

I am not sure you would want to replace a reliable 4 speed transmission with one that historically has problems. Also, there must a bunch of 4 speeds hanging out in junkyards that you can get for a great price. Some salvage yards even install it for you.


Sorry I didn`t answer your question but it seems you are looking for more trouble by going that route.

 

The best thing and smartest thing you can and should do is rebuild the 99 transmission.
