99 TL sensor Identification

Can someone please tell me what this sensor is. It's located just below the camshaft in the front cylinder head.

They wires are frayed badly and I want to replace the sensor after doing a head gasket job but I'm having trouble figuring out what it is. I'm guessing a temp sensor?

Rad fan switch "B".....maybe the one Fsttyms1 earlier said.

Check an online Acura parts store for a diagram of your '99 model's sensors, to verify the part #.
Also try Rockauto, and look up sensors for your car. They usually have an actual pic of the part being represented for sale. Good luck !

Also, I assume the sensor that threads into the top of the block under the intake manifold is a knock sensor correct?

Yes thats the knock sensor.
Are you rebuilding a 99 engine?
Hope it all works out for you.

Not a complete rebuild. Bought a really solid low mileage car with a blown head gasket for next to nothing. Just had the heads redone, new gaskets and I'm replacing anything that I run across that looks shotty (or I broke) haha.

That is a Knock sensor. Be VERY careful with that one when you install it. Especially if its your original. The plastic/glue that hold the top part together gets brittle and when reconnecting the wire end to its clip a gentle tug can and will break it. (i have broken 2 of them now)

HAHA - that's why I needed to know what it was, I broke it taking the heads off. I went to unplug it to move the harness around and the two pieces came apart. It just pulled the contacts off inside so it's shot! Preciate all the help!
