Hey guys, Have any of you ever replaced the 1-3 coils. I need to replace my #3 coil on my 2003 TL S. I'm wondering how difficult access to the coils on the back of the engine is. Also, the Acura dealer told me that I shouldn't drive it home, that I will ruin my cat conv. I only have to go 4-5 miles home.

 

I've done my spark plugs, it's a reach and a bit tight, but on a scale of 1-10 difficulty, 1 is changing a tire, 10 being changing your tranny laying on gravel with only vice grips, i'd give it a "2"

 

You can drive home no problem. Shit, you can drive to grandma's house and back. True, a bad coil will dump raw gas, but it'll be fine if you fix it soon.

Just replace the coilpack with an OEM coil. Should take about 30 minutes if you're retarded like me.
