2003 TL Fog Light Install Issue
Hello everyone,
This is my first time posting on this site since my cousin told me to join. I ordered an HID kit for my fog lights. I went to install them and for some reason they don't work. I installed them just like how the video shows to and nothing. To double check they do work, I threw them in my sisters accord - they share the same bulb number, and they worked. Any idea as to why this won't work on mine? Thanks for the feedback!

There could be a Couple of Reasons, But First!
Check the Obvious:
1.- Cable Polarity for the HID Bulb (It wont light Up if they are Switched)
2.- Power Cable conditions for your ballast!
Now more into it:
Check for Anusual sounds coming from your ballast! Normally a Ballast should make a very very tin Buzz sound when they are On.
Also! Connect your kit directly to the Battery if they dont Light Up the Kit is DOA, Ask for Warranty.

The Power cables look ok. So maybe I don't know my polarity on bulbs. So I made a few mistakes and I don't know what to try next.
First thing, I mounted one ballast inside the car already. It comes with this really strong adhesive tape. To get it off I'd have to get back under my car, and being its about 110 degrees outside, I'm not trying for a third day in a row. Now maybe you can help with my next question. The ballast I put in already, it didnt work with the bulb I first tried. When I tried that bulb with the other ballast and wires on my sisters accord, it worked. Does this mean that those two are 1 pair and the other set should work? I ask because I tried the other bulb and still nothing. I attached every wire both times correctly, and still nothing. I installed it the same exact way and it worked on her car.
Also, the polarity, how are you suppose to tell which side is which way? I dont see any + or - on anything. Thanks for the first tip, I would greatly appreciate it some help on something so simple...

On some tl's the polarity is flipped on the fog connectors. So on one side the blacks negative but on the other its positive. You can use a digital multimeter (as most now have a symbol that comes up if the polarity reversed) to test this. Usually this happens on the passenger side fog light.
If it turns out to be the case that the polarity is flipped, the connector should fit backward or you can cut a notch out to make it fit backward or even cut the wires and flip the connections <- do this only if you have marettes / crimps / soldering iorn handy.
hope this helps.
it happens where by the luck of the draw people get flipped polarity fog connectors.

you were right, the polarity was flipped. It was flipped on the driver's side but not on the passenger side. Thanks for all your help! Do you know how hard it is to remove the orange strip from the headlight?
