The back light in the clock on the dash is not working. Is there a bulb in there and if so how do you remove it?

 

my clock has been out for years, you would have to take the dash out, which aint that hard

 

I replaced mine a few days ago. It wasn't too bad. There's a thread in the DIY section that's helpful. You do not have to remove the dash, just have to pull the dash trim panel out a few inches to access it. 2 screws, several clips that just snap in/out, & unplug a few wire harnesses. Get some nylon pry tools (Harbor Freight sells them for cheap) so you don't gouge the dash panel. No screwdrivers!

 

^ Well pulling it out a few inches is pretty much removing the dash

But yea, it's not hard at all. One of the harness was a bitch to get to, no room for hands bigger than a 12 yr old's.

 

It helps if you take the plastic steering column cover off. It just snaps together.

 

Do a search. There was a long thread with all the exact details and pics on how to change the clock light bulb.
