In a search I came across something I thought might be useful. This explains how to clean the vtec solenoid. Some of the instructions will change. For instance our cars use coil packs and doesn't have a distributor. And as for the location of this solenoid these instructions may change also. I'm sure that's in a thread around here somewhere. My vtec is working fine as it should. (4700 rpm to open)(4950 rpm ? On the type s I think). I hope someone finds the info useful. I can always count on someone here for help so I'd like to return the favor.
