i have a 2002 acura tl type s and by the gear shifter where it says park reverse and d5 d4 d3 1and 2 should that light up at night when i cut the lights on i see on the dash where it says park and all that but does it light up at the shifter?

 

At the gear shifter yes all the P, R, N, D5, D4, D3, 2, 1 light up and they are suppose to. If not then your bulb probably blew and I haven't done a replacement on that but you can check the DIY on how to take out the center console.

On the dash cluster they aren't suppose to light up, the only time they light up is if you select any of the gear selections. For example you select D4 only D4 will light up and so on.
