i bought the car back in Feb of this year
what happens is when car starts it won't idle. it will start, and will run if you put foot on gas pedal. once you let off, it dies. if you let it sit for 15-20 min, it "fixes itself" and starts right up, and idles like nothing ever happened. first happened about 2 months back. then it happened this past sunday, then happened this morning, causing me to be late to work. NO cel light at all. it turns over, starts, just won't idle at all and dies, unless foot is on pedal.
has anyone had this issue, or know what might cause it?
PLEASE, ANY HELP WOULD BE MUCH APPRECIATED

i can try that.
i was hoping it would be throttle cable, each time it happens, i used some wd40 since it was quick to grab. but not sure how far in there it got. is there a better way to lube the cable?
and is there a link to the intake mani DIY? im not afraid to attempt it, if i have directions

diy is called thermoblock install and egr cleaning
diy link is 3rd item down gen2 thread list
to lube cables remove from holder at throttle body
lift up and shoot wd or deep creep inside
put rag inside car to catch runout
harbor freight sells a 3 dollar tool that makes cable lube clean and fast
may also have prob with fuel pump relay,,been a few of those recently--search for that
