Hello,

I've got a couple of indicators that come on for whatever reasons. My brake light is on for the first 5 minutes or so that I use my car - then it goes out.

MY SRS is now on all the time.

Any guesses?

 

im not sure about the brake light being an electrical issue. that usually means you need brake fluid, your fluid resevoir is probably loose.. as for the SRS i cant help ya there sorry.

 

The brake light issue could be either the filter, cap, or float which is part of the cap on the master cylinder. You can get all 3 for around $20 + tax or shipping.

 

I would say first check your brake fluid reservoir. If it is low, add fluid and the light should go off. If it is not low, it could possilbly mean it is time for front pads. I'm only saying this is possible, not likely. I wouldn't have believed this, but this is the way it happened in the Camry.

The SRS light could possibly be due to the OPDS. There is now an extended warranty campaign on these components, so you will be covered there as long as you have less than 150000 miles.
