A challenge!
A challenge!
2000 Acura TL.
My hood will not close all the way down. I do not know if somebody bumped my front end in the parking lot. The hood latches fine. It lifts up fine. No obvious sign of damage.
However, if you are looking at from the front, the two corners (above the headlights) are not sealing down. Looking from the side of the car, you can see the front of the hood is just out of true position.
I have looked and looked at the hood and cannot find any bends or dents which would show that the hood was bent. I have used others eyes as well and nobody can anything out of alignment.
I would like to try one thing. Is there any way to tighten down the hood latching mechanism?

I think I get what you're saying.
First thing I would do is adjust the two black rubber bumpers, they are either on the frame behind the headlights or on the bottom of the hood in between the chrome center piece (just can't quite remember where they are). They screw in and out. Just give them a half twist tighter then try closing the hood again. I think this will solve your problem.

Those rubber stoppers allow a little bit of adjustment. Give it a try.
