2000 tl piston slap
Well I have done most of the test that one can possibly come up with. But it becomes very obvious when I pulled the coil off the plug while car was cold the noise have faded instantly. But what bothers me the most that the noise is only there when there is a load. I mean when I engage drive or reverse. It is happening on 2 cylinders. The car just hit a 100000 mile mark and I have always been using premium gas and synthetic oil. Also the valves were adjusted by dealer less than 6 months ago. If you or anyone have any common suggestions please share them with me.
If it is infact that there isnt any thing you can do other than a tear down or replace the motor. Since you have had some work done on it your only recourse is to live with it or pick up a used low mileage motor and stick it in (they can be found for 5-800 bucks now) These motors are very strong and that isnt typical.

Unless the noise really bothers you, I'd do nothing. Although rare on honda v6 engines, it's not uncommon on high mileage honda 4 cylinders. I've seen many go well over 100k miles more after the noise started. On the ones I've owned, I let them warm up a few minutes or drove easy for the first few miles. The only one I ever tore down still had cross-hatching on the cylinders, and the aftermarket pistons measured SMALLER than the ones I took out. I put it back together with the old parts and lived with the slap.
I love the car a lots but I hate the sound. Im going to pull the motor and look inside for something abnormal. I have checked the oil pressure which looks great and the compresion checked 175 on all cylinders. I just want the car to be quiet in the mornings again.
The diesel kocking just makes the car sound like a junk.
