03 tl-s headlights problem

a few nights ago i noticed my headlight(s?) changed color, drivers side seems to be more purple than usual

the following morning i headed to advance auto parts to find a replacement bulb, it turned out to be way more expensive than i thought ($99). i found it online for $78, but just wanna make sure its the bulb going bad before i make my next decision

heres a picture and a warm-up video

much appreciation in advance

kinda hard to tell the exact problem without swapping around parts and such, but i would not worry about it too much till one goes out, unless you are super worried about the color and such
the easiest would be to swap the bulbs around since you can due that from the back, and not pull the bumper, then if the color stays on the driverside, it is not the bulbs

but yes the driverside is very blueish/purpleish, or whatever you want to call it

but if anything i would probably say it is the ballest going out (cannot precisely control the voltage to the bulb anymore), and it takes a VERY long time to fully warm up (i thought it was the passenger side at first by the video)

Are those stock bulbs ? The one from the right/passenger side looks more like stock. When i bought my car the lights were like that, i found out that the owner before me couldn't afford to have the original bulb replace, so they bought an ebay one in 6000k to replace the burned out bulb, they should replace both to match the color.

this is just a suggestion..my passenger side light is about 10x brighter than the drivers side, but its because the housing itself needs to be buffed out a little bit, it doesn't have anything to do with my bulbs. just a thought, although i'm sure you've already considered that since it is a pretty obvious issue. i can tell even when my lights aren't on that the drivers side is a little dull.

both of the housings seem to be pretty clean, though im thinking about blacking them out in the near future

yes the housings do seem very clear and not yellowed at all

then here is a pic of mine with the stock bulbs in there

don't mind the snow lol, try to just compare the coloring with the headlight housings and such (or the orange reflector)

are they really both oem 4300k? One bulb looks like it's 4300K, and the other one looks like 5000k/6000k

Not by much, except for the light is only one color, the stock 4300k is different color depending your angle and distance.

Have not seen an actual OEM headlight DR2.
Should it say "Made in Japan" just to be sure its oem?
