My pillar project

So I got tired of my pillars looking like ass. And since I have no clue about painting, I decided on this kit I saw at Autozone... It's used for racing stripes and was 15 bucks... Why not right. So it's pretty straight foward.. Cut to the length you want and apply... Make sure the surface is cleaned. I lightly sanded down the pillars and wiped them down with alcohol before I applied the vinyl.

Once the area is prepped, spray with some water and apply the vinyl.. Here is what it looks like before it's trimmed down.

Once is its cut and trimmed, peel off the plastic from the vinyl. It has a nice glossy finish and looks pretty dead on with the rest of the trim.

I'll post more pics later. It's raining out. But honestly, they look good. 1000 x better than what they looked like before. Just wanted to show another cheap route. Maybe down the road i'll try painting them but for 15 bucks and a few minutes of my time, it's well worth it.

Not hard at all. Just go slow. You can take it a step further and remove the pillars and wrap them while they are off.
