sup, just bought a 03 TL and the maintenance required light is blinking when i first start the car.. how do i reset it ?? was told it came on after the oil change from previous owner ... Help Please

 

If you have a manual its in that as well, but to do it press and HOLD the trip and reset button, then while STILL holding the 2 buttons in turn the key to the Run position and continue holding the buttons in. It will take about 10 sec and the light will go off. DO NOT turn the key THEN push the buttons. you will mess with the outside temp adjustment.

hint: stick your left arm thru the top opening of steering wheel- use left hand to push and hold the 2 trip buttons IN

use right hand to turn key to ON - where the dash lights come on
Mait light flashes then stops
DONE!!
remove hands and key

in about 6500 miles it will start flashing agin- getting more insistant as you near 7500 miles,, then if I recall- it stays on solid till you reset it
Based only on miles since last reset - it knows nothing about the oil condition
