03 Blower Motor Fix

Guys,

So I have the melted connector...the 2 wire one that plugs into the blower motor. Is the fix to cut this off, spice in a new one and replace the resistor and blower motor? I do see the TSB fix which seems a bit more work....

Any comments please?

Thanks,

Mike

depends if the motor is ok
A good auto electrical shop can make fast work of the repair for you with the right connectors and stuff

Is that all the wire set cost? thanks tech!
most would probably do better with a plug and play than splicing the wires in--IMO

hey does anyone know if this would effect the heat/ac from only coming out the vents that point at your face and not switching to floor or defrost vents, even when your hitting mode and the arrows are changing on the screen? this is whats happening to me.

The subharness for the blower motor ran me 10 bucks. Picked it up yesterday, and installed it. Took me about 30 min or so, the connectors are a bit tricky to get the terminal out. Alas, the motor is the culprit.

hey so say you have the problem where it still blows hot or cold, but you cant choose what vents you want the air to come from. as far as trouble shooting, where would you start???

I believe that is the air mix motor.

Does yours still heat/cool the air, but doesnt blow any air through the vents? Thats what mine does. Thought the pigtail would be a quick fix, but now I need a new blower motor.

my air, hot or cold, comes out the dash vents. when i hit mode to make it come out through the floor vents it still comes out the dash. when i need the window to defrost it still comes throught the dash. are you saying that getting a new pig tail will fix this problem? or will i need the air mix motor? to tell you the truth i would be fine if it always came though the defrost vent only if theres a way i can rig that.

Pigtail has NOTHING to do with your problem. It was the cause of mine in the original post.
