02 TL Green(key) light of death :(

Hey guys i installed a remote start im my buddies 02 TL about 8 months ago and ive been doing them for years in hondas and acuras and never came across this issue. He drove his car to work, later than night when he came out his car wouldnt remote start nor would the car work with the key. It cranks, the green key light comes on and it will not turn over. It definitely has to do with the immobilizer, neither keys will work also, i noticed that the factory key fob no longer works. Anyway is there an actual fix for this problem? Ive done some research but there is no definite answer to this problem.

Any help is appreciated. I have a feeling the dealer is gonna try and screw him for 1000$ for a new ecm regardless of what the problem is.

Sounds like an immobilizer issue. How when you installed the remote start did you work around the immobilizer in the first place?

yes of course for the bypass. But i mean everything was working for 8 months ive never come across this issue. Its odd that the remote start wont start it either seeing that the codes from the keys were programmed into the bypass.

The dealer just callee my friend and told him the remote start i installed short circuited the battery. He said they charged him 120 for the battery and 800$ worth of labor. I laughed in his face. I bet all they did was change the battery since it is the original from 2002
