I have a 99 TL , I was thinking of put the 02 taillights on my car . When I talked to the parts department at Acura they said that the taillights weren't compatible with my car. I don't understand why they wouldn't fit because it's the same body style in the rear . I think it may be the wire harness is diffrent . What ever the promblem maybe, could someone who has done this upgrade to their car give me some advice.

 

you need to buy the wire harness to make it fit... imo your better off getting the look-a-like plug and plays off e-bay.. i got them and havent had a problem with them at all

 

Or you can go to h o n d a c u r a w o r l d . c o m and buy the lights which includes the harness. Ray Lak Acura is a dealer who actually knows what they are doing.

I chose to go with the aftermarket ones on ebay too, the harness fits perfect and from what I've seen they look just as good and also CHEAPER!
