Hey everyone,

I'm currently on a 700 mile road trip. My check engine light threw an Evap Canister Leak code before I started and I'm not worried about that since it is basically for emissions. However when I turned my car on after a pit stop my maintenance required light flashed and now that I'm on the road it is now lit. Is this a serious issue? I had my oil changed a week ago.

 

you need to reset the oil change reminder- don't worry it means nothing to you right now
it only counts miles since last reset by hand using the 2 trip buttons

How to Reset the "Maintenance Required"

Push the Select and Reset switch at the same time, trun the ignition switch ON (II), and hold them more than 10 seconds

 

the trick is put left hand thru top half of steering wheel to reach buttons on right side
Use right hand to turn key to ON-- not start
light flashes 10 times and goes off
Now its reset, in 6500 miles it will blink at startup, getting more insistent as miles near 7500, when it turns on and stays on till you reset it
