actually a member on this board did all the paintwork for me
i dont think the engine cover needs to be any high-temp paint. If you think about it, if it really got that hot, then the plastic cover would ahve melted by now

because my Godfather owns a shop nd i was gonna tell him to put some OEM paint on it.. but it seems as if everyone suggests using High Temp paint...

Looks good! now you just need the door peices to match.
the finish on the car gets far hotter in direct sunlight than the engine pieces get. my pieces have been painted for a year now with the same paint and they are just fine.

well i think it might be the way the pictures are taken, because it looks pretty close to the color of the car. I did use the paint code (Monterey Blue Pear) for my car as well as the paint code for the Antrhacite Metallic TL.

now that ive taken the door panel off when i installed my speakers, i'll jsut take the trim off the panels.

i sued a drill bit as wide as the "clip" or "glue" that its held on by and drilled it very slowly. popped right out. to put it back in, i just pushed them in and the pressure is holding in the rear ones and i used some rubber glue at the very tip of the front ones while the rest of it is held on with pressure.

fyi - a high temp paint is recommended. although the regular paint wont melt, overtime it begins to bubble and crack. talking from experience.
the trim looks great, i was just thinking bout doing the same thing but i also didnt like the blue around the shift gate.
did you clear coat the trim?
