at the track

weather will not make this car run 17's
mine ran the stock specification time on an 80 degree night with upwards of 75% humidity.. which is low for my area...
this is a car issue.. not a track or weather one.
if the car runs fine. yet runs super slow.. thats the part that confuses me.

it doesnt matter. the ecu will turn ac off when u go wot.
when go wot, it tells the ecu that u want all the power available either to pass someone on the high way or just to pick up speed quickly.
dont believe me? go on the high way, full blast ac, and then wot, u will hear the ac not working and warm air blowing in.

^ok. understood. but if you pull to the line and they hear the A/C they'll tell you to turn it off and then you have to reverse so they can check to see if any water got in the track at the starting line... Dont believe me try it. it happened to me.

ps dude there are lotta factors that may be the case here. some which no naked eye may ever notice. like several years ago when i had my GLX VR6 i ran the best time of my life at the tracks, then blew my motor 2 runs later. i got it all replaced but it never ran nearly as well as before it blew. i never knew why, nor did anyone else... i had 256 cams installed the 2nd time around so perhaps it was a timing issue... perhaps you have such a similar prob? like everyone else said it cant be an altitude issue, if anything the heat would screw you and being that im from HI ive seen TL's run better than that at least by a full second.
and my gf just wants to know if this is the tracks by the damn dinosaur ridge, shes obsessed with dinosaurs i swear lol

reason for no a/c is because they dont want condensation dripping on the track. when the high HP cars run things can get ugly quick if there is moisture on the surface. Slicks+moisture=bad.
OP: I would just quit going to the track. If youre worried about the trans, dont take any more chances than necessary..if you figure out the problem and she ends up running stronger thats even more of a chance of fuggin the tranny up..
