17s sounds kinda high for our cars. i would expect those times from a civic or corolla.

that really is wierd.

i have a 99 FPR bone stock interals.. ran a 15.38 at its fastest if i remember.

even when i used brake torquing or just slammed the gas.. it was only a tenth or two off.. and thats with a good bit of wheel spin too.

maybe your tb isnt opening all the way when you going WOT... maybe the cable has slack?

17's is for sure very high. there are other bone stock cars that will run 16's... you shoud drive another tl comparable to yours to feel the difference.

SS is for curvy roads.. more then likely lose a few tenths... leave the 1/4 mile to the auto... shifts when its supposed to

trying cleanin the egr port and so forth like in the DIYs

then give it a seafoam.. spark plugs ok?

PSI on tires...

suspension shocks ok? cuz that matters in launching.. motor mounts??

i did the egr port cleaning like a year ago. i havent done the valve adjustments yet. i changed the spark plugs with the ngk iridiums about a year ago. i also seafoam when i did the egr. my psi was 35. and i got brand new shocks like a month or two ago. i got the illuminas with tiens s tech springs. i left the settings on the front at 1 and the rears at 3 and i have bad motor mounts and trans mounts

How would you not have vtec. Gate shifting will yield the fastest times. (when shifted just before the rev limiter)

Those 60's are horrible..lol. MPH should stick you somewhere in the mid-high 16's. did you roast the tires?

hate to add insult to injury but there's a stock scion xB that ran a 16.4....... something is wrong if you can potentially lose to a scion.
