Check out my new mod, 16 hyper white superflux LEDs License Plate box. It is really bright and wide. It provides a heck of a lot better light output than the crappy stock dome shaped housing:

That is a lot of light.

 

I replaced my light with a single LED and it puts out enough light for the license plate, this seems excessive.

 

wow this is almost too bright for me. do you really need all those lights for just the back plate?

anyhow, car looks great as always.

Nice custom mod volly. If you don't mind sharing, how'd you go about doing it. I agree our dome housing cover is really crappy.

 

It probably looks sooo bright in the pics because of the light reflecting off my plastic license plate cover.

I actually saw it on my friends car, as soon as i saw it in the night time, i immediately knew I had to get me one of these. So I had him make a custom one for me. My box is slightly longer than his and mine has 16 superfluxes vs. his 8 superfluxes.

yea..i wouldnt recommend lighting up your rear lic plate lik a xmas tree..jus makes it easier for po po's to see lol..i own a 3G TL and ive actually removed my rear lic plate bulbs altogether so i can ghost ride lolz..if i do even happen to get pulled (i have in the past) the po po's headlights behind the car will reflect off the plate and giv them the impression that its lit up..if not - u can always say..sry i didnt realize my bulbs burnt out =)
