New LED Fog light bulbs installed....(Pics)
Whats up guys!!... Just got through swapping the ugly yellow OEM fog light bulbs on my 03 TL Type-S. Replaced them with the bulbs from "V-Led's.com" here in this link. http://www.v-leds.com/Shop/Control/P...id/0/SFV/32481
Pics don't do justice as to how bright the new bulbs really are. ALOT better than the stock bulbs. I drove the car last night and couldn't believe how much more light they put out. I will get some night time pics soon....

crap, leds aren't bright enough [yet] to even be brighter than certain halogen bulbs.

Thanks everyone for the compliments.... Yeah, I know it sits "high"...lol. It's my work car and don't really want my clients having to get into a lowered car...lol. If I didn't have to drive it everyday then maybe I would lower it a little. I try and leave the Acura stock. I have a Trailblazer SS that I do all my modding on...lol.
The lights match up to the stock bulbs VERY good, and they are very bright at nighttime. I will try and get some nite pics tonight.

Well, I did the "fog light mod" today, and decided to post up some "nite" time pics. This is in my basement with all the lights off. Not fully dark but it gives you a pretty good idea as to how bright they are. They match the OEM low beams perfectly. I love the way they look with parkin lights on and the headlights off.
This pic is JUST the fogs on to show the amount of lite they put off with the headlights off

I haven't seen any HID's for $59.99????? Maybe their are, but for the money these bulbs are GREAT. Plus no ballast to worry about getting wet or bouncing to much. Just plug in these bulbs and BOOM. Perfect match to OEM headlights.

Hetz said that HID lights generally have greater output than LEDs, so the engineers had to work carefully to aim the light where it is needed. Hetz said the Escalade Platinum's system puts out about 730 lumens set on low beams and 1,000 on high beams. Typical HID systems produce 830/1,200 lumens and halogens are typically 400/600.
thanks bro

The light output looks great and the thing that comes to mind is that between the LEDs and HIDs, you may never have to replace the LEDs but the HID bulbs will have to be replaced at sometime. The savings is in the longivity of the bulbs. The LEDs will outlast the HIDs.

do any of you recommend a plug and go LED that will not risk frying the stock wiring harness. 9006 bulb.
68 watt is as much as our high beams and these fogs are 68 watts? am i not right? looks great but i dont know if our stock wiring harness was meant for that much current.
stock OEM are
high beams are - 12volts 60 watts - should be 5 amps
fogs are - 12 volts 51 watts - should be 4.3 amps.
your LED are 12 volt 68 watts and it should draw 5.6 amps !!!
i dont know if i know what i am talking about but it seems like ur wires should melted by now or blow a fuse. but anyway let me know if they are still going and maybe ill put them in myself. thanks
