I'm no expert, but I thought people rolled them up. I remember reading old posts about using a bat or something to roll the fender lips up gently so they didn't touch the tire.

Anyone really know this stuff?

try cutting the tabs before rolling. rolling fenders = chipping paint + rust

Hah!!! She looks beautiful David! Did you end up going with a 225? Dustin is having mods installed in the coming week, maybe we can have a mini meet and I can snip the tabs off for you. I know it helped a bit with my rubbing. Let me know what's up. Great Job bro, the wheels look great, congrats

If you want to try cutting the fender tabs yourself. Look on the inner portion of the rear bumper. You will notice a "tab" that protrudes out a bit further than the rest of the plastic from the bumper. You can take a dremel or some metal shears to cut it off. Just make sure it is plastic that you're cutting not metal.

Hey jp... You think you can do that for me? Will it take long? We should meet up. Let me know if you can. If not I will try to do it. I'm just not comfortable doing it. A mini meet at Dnb, at rockville maybe?

BTW, good to have you back bro. The 2Gs used to be the kings at the local meets. To my surprise, the 3gs were reppin hard during the bbq a few weeks ago. There were only 4 2Gs that showed up including myself

I am ashame to say it..... It's the racing harts knockoffs. Imma put the caps on once I get new lug nuts. The ones I have now is to long and it won't let me snap on the cap.

I don't know much about wheels but it's 18in rims, 7.5 width and a 45+ offset. I think that is right. The tires is 225/40/18.

I see. You're probably rubbing a bit because of the offset. Hopefully cutting the tabs will alleviate the problem a bit.

David, just go to the section where metal panel meets the bumper towards the rear end of the car in the wheel well. You will notice a plastic tab that protrudes into the wheel well. That is the part you have to cut. Again, just make sure it's the bumper you're shaving off, not any metal. If you have any questions just let me know.

I have another problem guys. I accidently broke off one of the tabs that is on the center cap. Any one know where I can buy a center cap from? I was thinking about trying the hot glue gun to fix it. I don't that is strength enough to keep it attached.

Here is the pic:

It has four tabs. One of them are broken.

Try calling Wheel Max, I believe they are a major distributer for these wheels. You can reach them at 1-800-545-5745. Most rim distributers stock parts like these. Just say you found them through the Exel website, hopefully they can help you out.
