Look what the cat brought in today....

So I know we can do this on our own.... and I know some like the whole thing blacked out, but I don't have the time to do a lot of the manual labor work anymore with kids and work. I love to work on my cars though and install things and tinker with it. I have been wanting to do this to mhy for a long time now.

In person the quality on this is damn good I might add.... I am digging the clear diffuser as well. I hope to get it on car before month end and give you some final pictures.

For those considering it...got it on ebay for $249.99 shipped... and I can probably sell my stock ones for $100-150 to make up the difference.

You'll probably be disappointed in the light output on those aftermarket headlights...

but it's a hit and miss sometime with different companies. You might get lucky.

Also, run a small bead of silicone along the edges because usually those ebay headlights aren't sealed so well.

they woulda made a perfect hit if they blacked out the turn signal corner light area and the sides and that silver trim outside the headlight. otherwise.. i like the clear diffuser but it's not needed if you leave the chrome part on in the headlight

I bought a ebay set in stock form when I messed up mine tryingto black em out, the light output is different, but I wouldnt say it sucks.

Mine dont leak, they guarantee that they dont and most people offer a money back program.

It will be hard to show a true light output since I bought some new bulbs at 6K also to match, but I will show you before and after, so we can really see if there is a big difference.

I wouldnt smash these for just the clear diffuser, the point I got these is because I just don't have time to open up my stock ones and black them out. I don't think light output will be terrible.... maybe just not as good....

or just do it my/yourself...

you could always take the housing and place it in your OEM headlights with the clear piece so you can have OEM output rather than shady shit.. lol

bake both driver....

open... unscrew housing on both... switch.. seal up.

I'll take a shot of them right when I put them on along with difference in light output, but I wont be able to do it until late this month or early next month.

They are sitting in my garage waiting to be installed. I just want time to do that along with my HID fogs at the same time.

That link is the same person I got it from on ebay and they were fast and packaged very nicely.

BTW they are DOT approved also and looks like they are sealed very nice to prevent fogging.

So I finally got a chance to wash my car today and put the headlights on so you can see. It is hard to compare output because I went from the stock 4300k to 6000k. JUst by looking at it, there does seem to be a little bit less output, but not enough for me to complain about.

Everything bolted on perfect, fit was perfect. Overall I am pretty happy with this purchase. I decided to get some 8000k HID fogs as well while the bumper was off!!!

So here we go tell me what you think....

Stock

Stock output

6000k output

with my fogs

Car with new headlights and clean wash!!!

Going to put my rims back on once I get one of the rims that got dented back on. I hope I get it done in the next month. I dont like rolling on stock rims. It looked so much better with my 19"

I wanted to pull the trigger on those, but thought it was kinda expensive for some LED corner lights.... is the output around 4300k or is there a blueish look to it??? I just want to see if they match my headlights..

HOw much did you pay for yours and where did you get them at? Do you have a picturew with them on at night?

Ill get a pic for you tonight.

I have 5k low beams and they match pretty good, they are very bright and i am very satisfied with them. I got them from autoillumination.

I bought the resistors too so it was kind of pricey, it takes away the yellow tint from the bulb though so yeah I justified it.

The resistors are a $6-7 each, might as well just do it. But if you dont mind it then eh, still look good.

THanks guys... i am sure to get LED's when I get some money. I just wanted everyone to see the ebay headlights. They are very nice in quality but sure have a little bit less output.

i realized the pic you showed us.. that your driver side headlight is aimed a bit too high.. you should reaim it so that it sits even with the passenger side headlight. it's just a 10mm bolt on the back of the headlight housing. turning left raises it, turning right lowers it.

as for output.. oem is definitely brighter on the garage door as you can see but you shouldve stuck with 5k for a closer comparison and for the best output/performance.
