Well I put the kit on, man the OEM kit is a breeze beside ripping the shitty bumper clips off of the front. I'm leaving it black for now, blacked out the grill and will black out my window trim eventually. I know most of you guys will dislike it but Im pretty satisfied. I think it will flow well when I tint the windows, its not very photogenic however but it looks nice in person. Quick shot of the front since it's pouring.

next up will be tinted windows, remove Tein stickers, yellow civic fogs, blackout rest of chrome trim and put my Tsudo exhaust on when it finally comes in from backorder.

yeah, i may paint it in the future. It's pretty visible in person but I cant seem to capture it with my shitty phone camera. I picked it up for $280 with a wings west spoiler included in the price so I'm pretty satisfied for the time being. I wish WDP wasn't such an expensive color to paint.

[quote=HairyMonkey019;13211617]hahaha, better than just primer
Lol, I would have spray bombed it black before putting it on primered. Maybe I should stickerbomb the front with hello kitty stickers like the civics

Thanks! Just pulled off the Tein sticker...it was a pain in the ass even though it was only on for a short while. I think it was harder then putting the lip kit on, lol.

true, i wasn't going to even put it on but i couldn't just see it sitting there....i swear it was calling my name. i'm just an impatient fella i suppose, plus i was afraid if it was just lying around i would be tempted to sell it and get some wheels and end up regretting it. i had some 18x7.5 adr m-sports i didnt put on because i wanted to paint the gold or bronze. i ended up selling them to put a timing belt on my mazda...blah.

3 pedals in my 99 TL

I feel u man I know how it is to be impatient with parts. But honestly I think if you wait and take your time with it instead of rushing it will be more worth it. I've got a brand new OEM front lip and mugen spoiler sitting in my room but am not going to put it on cause I'm planning to repaint my car in the future and slap everything on freshly repainted instead of putting it on now with the color mismatched. Then it will be worth the wait and I think I could say the same about yours!

The Dumb One

the lip kit adds so much to these cars. really sets them apart from the normal TL you see on the road.
but this reminds me of these days.
not that extreme.. but you get the point.

Honestly I think my plans for the car are likely to sit better with people who's automotive background lie in the 80s-90s swapped Civic/Integra field rather then the sport/luxury game. Those are my roots so the car will likely end up leaning in that direction. There are pretty much no modded 2g Tl's around my way so I'm finally to the point where I feel like I have something different and somewhat eye catching. After the Accord was gone I had an Integra that couldn't be missed, in fact it was about the same color as the OEM CL orange-like paint. After that It was a Honda Ruckus scooter stretched 11 inches with a 150 swap that could do 70mph, and then I was left with a car that just looked like any other car on the road. Luckily I found this site and got all kinds of great ideas from you guys! Now I dont feel naked anymore..lol. Now just waiting on tax season once more!

2003 TL-p
i dig it, black on white is tight. with the rest of the chrome trim work blacked out it will look awesome.
i wonder if i could pull that black lip kit off with my black and gold theme, i do plan on blacking out the rest of the chrome trim around my windows and possibly door handles.

the only way a black lipkit would work out for our cars, if its done in flat black, because when its done in gloss black it looks like crap to cheesy since with gloss white it would look like gloss on gloss in to different color.....and for the diffuser I thought about that since 08 but for 1200 around that some rims should do more justice.

and the red badge has to go, because our cars never came with a RED badge in Japan or in America so thats pretty much entering the rice phase, and u should paint your lipkit white, your missing a whole different/complete look with it black.....right now with the lipkit u can hardly notice it, paint it, u would love your car 20x more........
I dig the black lipkit look but the sides kill the whole look, since its bigger than the rest of the lips.....and usually the frontlip is supposed to be the biggest lip, then the sides followed by the rear.
