So allow me to re-introduce myself.
I was debating whether I should sell it or not so I'm not sure if I'll buy another set of rims for it or not ...

if you fart around on Cardomain you hardly ever see them. i see WW and body kits all over on there.
for the guys on here that have them i'd say the OEM kits are pretty rare if you ask me. people are scrambling just to find parts.. anyone can buy WW
and the purpose of a lip kit is to extend the bumper for a sportier look, not give the illusion of a false drop. (as you mentioned thats what body kits are for)
and as slushy said, there is a reason they are in demand, they look clean and as if they were made for the car. which = good

Regardless I like the WW better. On this site the stock kit is rare but I have yet to see in person another TL with a WW kit. I only see them with the stock.
Also, I understand that it's supposed to give it a sportier look, but it does also give it a lower drop. I had this same suspension setup before the WW kit. The kit added another 3.5" drop to the setup. Call it a false drop, but it is what it is and it gets me lower to the ground.
I understand why people would argue with me about my preference on the kit since everyone on this site specifically follows the same line and sticks to the stock kit. Just be open minded and understand that this is my car and I think the stock kit is ugly. I don't mind others using it, just don't like it when people come here and tell me I'm wrong because of this sites demand for a different product.

most of the people here would agree that its not JUST the WW's looks that turn people off.. its fiberglass... and for people that are actually low, thats a nono, the OEM kit offers durability along with its factory-like fitment. the rear is not an issue when using FB so most people would prefer the WW rear...
but saying the OEM kit is ugly? lol
its just an extension of the body lines the way they were meant to be.. the WW is a replica of the OEM kit with added pieces and cuts to define itself as different.
the WW wouldnt be so bad if didnt ACTUALLY have wings.. and for the record the WW is a cunt hair different from the OEM kit in terms of shape and styling.. just a bit longer and has those flaps.....

WW sides are wider and have an indent, the OEM just has a curvy shape. WW front is wider on the sides and has a deeper indent on the middle. There's a significant difference between the two, specially the difference in drop. I don't really see the resemblance at all, not to mention the "wings" also set them apart even more from the stock.
Hence why I don't like the stock kit. Looks too plain and I like my car as low to the ground as possible. Besides, if it looks so much like the stock to you, why even hate on the WW? lol
Nope, I don't know him. I have seen a white 02-03 with some chrome 20's but I know him from back in high school. I've only seen very few Second Gen TL's around here done tastefully but never as clean as the ones on this site. Which is what also sets my car apart from other TL's here. I think I'm the only one around here by a long shot to even have hid fog lights on a 99-01 TL lol.
