Lightbulb Engine MOD!

still waiting for the engine cover to dry! i will take a pictures when the items are back in the car.

isnt your car black?? im not too fond of the blue if it were to go into the black car.

nice but you should have used some high build primer to help get rid of the rough plastic surface and make it smooooooooooooth

some times its real hard to re-paint those parts. i tried, but i had to get a new intake manifold cover. looks nice tho

red AND blue? hmm...not sure about that one. I say you pick one color and stick with that. Oh and add some clear coat!!!

thanks
yes it will handle the heat. you dont need high temp paint for those parts. any old paint/automotive paint will work. if you want to redo it, go get a 3M scuff pad and sand the whole thing till all the "shine" is gone (you dont have to remove teh paint) then clean it and respray it with a good primer/or high build primer. after it drys completly sand it smooth (if needed) with 220 to 400 grit and then paint it with the desired color

No Tommy, it doesn't fit your car... But I bet it'll fit mine... j/k I think it'll look pretty nice once you have everything back together... Not too sure about the piece in your second picture tho...

It is hard to paint these things...I know...I tried..failed miserably. I need to repaint them all over again. But Nice Job...not too sure bout the red and blue on a black TL.

painting that shit is a B**ch. take me a whole day and half of the day to prep. for the items.

but will soon find out how it looks, i am redoing the engine cover, because of a built up of paint on either side, so More sanding and re-painting. AHHHHHHHHHH!
