Couple of pics and ideas...

Well, its been a week since I got my TL and I've already got 5% tint and did some weight reduction (mudflaps, the sunroof thing, and resonator ). Anyway, I'm lovin the car, but since I took off those splashguard/mudflap things, the car looks like its sitting up so much higher. I really want rims now! Its unfortunate I don't have extra cash laying around, but I think since I can get rims/tires at close to cost from my friends at Discount Tire, I'll do that plus their card so I'll have 6 months no interest. Now that I have a car besides an 89 Prelude that I can put money into, I'm going crazy. Making all kinds of plans and such heh.

Anyway, here is a picture of how my car currently looks:

And I did this at work in Photoshop because it was really, really slow:

Its what I'm thinking of going for. Recolored car to gold (Discount Tire's site only had silver), Cleared headlights, 02-03 tails with bottom part tinted, lowered a bit, and those rims are Enkei GF1's, thought there was the black kind that came out, but I guess I misunderstood and the real ones just LOOK black. I was really diggin the gold/silver/black look, so I don't know what I'm going to do now, I enjoyed the style of those rims. But here is how they really look:

So we'll see. I'm gonna go check em out soon. I did see the Konig Sideways and they look pretty cool, might take a look at those too.

Also, here are a couple of pics from my Canon S80 (the other was a cheap Olympus, I left my charger in Cali the new one should be here tomorrow heh) after I got the car.

And the new vs old...(kinda dark)

I'll take some better pics tomorrow when my charger arrives from UPS.

Whoa buddy, GOLD TL??? Are you serious? Gold is the ugliest color you could put on a TL in my opinion. Kinda ghetto dont you think?? I would go with the Konig Sidewayz. The Other Rim doesnt look right on a TL. Idk, do whatever you want with your TL. Its your car not mine.

Why is it that it looks silver in the pictures, but when you're standing next to it it looks gold? Thats why my car is totally having identity crisis lol. Every other car I look at that is actually silver, looks silver. Mine doesn't. If it really is gold, I think with the right colors it could work. I really don't want to have to shell out the money to repaint it, and if I did, it would come way, way later.

Thanks though HBaJ, haven't had much time to mess with the Canon since the battery died quick, but soon I'll get some more.

I like the plans you have in mind, the enkeis in Silver look the best IMO. I like the naples gold TLs. I think they look nice. Anywho good luck.

For one thing, I can't tell from the pics, but if your car's color is Heather Mist like mine, with different amounts of light (night and day) the car either appears to look silver (less light) or goldish/tan (more light). If I were you I'd leave it alone, the color goes along with most rims out there.. save yourself the money for a paint job and do performance mods

Haha excellent, glad to hear it, thanks guys! I'm pretty sure mine is that HM because it looks exactly like the color in your avatar, joe.

I wasn't planning on painting it anytime soon, I would MUCH rather spend the money on performance. For now, however, I'm doing all cosmetic. Next year will be performance, but the parts for this car are so expensive that its tough. Plus, I might as well do cosmetic while I can get the stuff for dirt cheap from friends. Raced my buddy's GSR last night, and beat him, so I'm no longer officially the slowest car in our clique, so I'm fast enough for now heh.
