3rd Gen TL Wheels, GOTTA GO. I'm Sorry. Its ruinning the look of the 2nd gen IMO. If i were you, i never would have painted the hood and trunk black. Did you do the roof in black too??? Eyelids are not my thing and the fogs you put in on the bottom are not too shabby. They just dont look like they belong there kinda sorta to me atleast. Idk, whatever floats someones boat i guess. Good work none the less. one more, WTF no rear lip?? Obviously you havent gotten it yet.

but every one is intitles to there opinion and this id the way i like my car atleast for now until i decide what to do with it next. as far as the rims go, i will change them cuz i am in no hurry.

lol..you don't have the rear lip too. I'm glad i'm not the only one that doesn't have it. Car looks great...The wheel looks good on the car...make it look aggressive. Since you have the hood and the trunk black...why not do the roof black too?

imo you should paint your whole car black... it'll really make it look aggressive b/c it seems like thats the look your going for ... i love the fogs the 99-01 tl's look so naked on the bottom hah

 

yeah i was trying to go for the arrressive look but the reason i didnt get a chance to do the roof was cuz didnt have time. i had gotton the trunk and spoiler painted the night before the meet and just didnt have enough time to sand-paint-clear--dry-compound-polish the roof. but as soon as i get the rear ww under spoiler i will paint the roof also and i dont know if u remember but i had a huge problem with ANDY'S MOTHER FUC*** AUTO SPORTS and still to this day i have not recieved my stuff from them. i ordered on 4-9-06.

 

NICE. I like the way you did the hood and trunk... makes it look sporty.. all you have to do is the roof like you said and you'll be all set... other than that, if the car was dropped a bit more, and different rims to boot, I'd cream my pants everytime I saw your car. lol Sucks that I wasn't able to show up to the meet, I was all good to go until my shifter messed up. Good questiong. Where did you get those fogs. I'd like some like that. It is almost perfect fitment. Cars looking really good. I have my WW rear and I'm trying to find somewhere to paint it. Got mine with out any problem mainly because I stayed away from Andy's Auto Sport. My step bro just got a body kit from them for his celica with out any problems but it's not worth it. That thing is ugly.

 

Whatup Inspire......the TL represented at the meet yesterday, don't mind the comments. That just means the streets are watching, see you at the Bklyn meet.

 

Screw Andy's... My friend was gonna order stuff from them, but i stopped him from doing so. Good luck finishing up your project...

ok here's the thing. these r the inspire oem fogs just like the one black shadows value bumper has. now some of u might see his fogs and say um.... they r not even the same but the r . the difference is that these fogs are meant to fit the inspire bumper or the value kit bumper only and they are not a perfect fit or even a close enough fit for our tl bumpers at all. what i did to make the best out of things after i got the fogs i made 2 holes on bottom and 2 on top on each sides at used some zip ties to put pressure on the back of the fogs so they hold against the bumper. i also had to trim some of the sheet metal on the chassy (skinny little strip of metal) so the fogs got the proper clearence in the back. it was a very painful install cuz while using a grinder to smoth out the chassy i wasent wearing saftey glasses and a little sharp peice of metal stabed my eye (had to go to the hospital) was home for about 4 days. but all better now. BTW fogs were imported from japan brand new.

 

the car is dropped on H&R sport right now . i think its 1:75 drop. and i do plan on loweringit more once i get proper wheels with the right ofset and crap cuz this drop is barely got enough for these 3 gen wheels

 

how much did it take to fix that beastly scratch on the side?

 

i got all the little dings and scraches out of the car and got it fully painted 3 days after gettin it

 

 

First off, you've got some great mods.

I can see what you're trying to do with the paint, but in the back it just looks like you replaced the trunk lid w one from an NBP. I agree that you need to do something to tie the roof in, but I think if you were to paint it above the tails on either side people would know it's custom.

All that being said, your car looks way better than mine.
