Another Foriegn Car Convert.
Another Foriegn Car Convert.
I'm another American Car lover converted to the japenesse market now. GM has just gone down the drain and the saying they don't make them like they use to never has been so true. Even my father, long time GM owner chevys, oldsmobiles, bought a new toyota this year for the same reasons i had to go out and buy a new car for myself, reliability is just not there anymore in american cars. So after weeks of trying to find a car for myself, i wasn't really planning on this for at least another 2 years, i decided on an 02 tl-s. Love the car so far, and hopefully, other than the tranny, it gives me no problems for years to come. My Preivious car was a 94 buick lesabre limited that served me well through the college years carting tons of people around, but in the last year it started having tranny issues, engine issues, and oil burning so it was time to go. Have some pics up over at the

Only a few mods, sorry the mod pics are camera phone pics, the others are your basic stock 02 tl-s.
Enjoy

welcome to the Acura world, I'm with you I was a GM driver and owned 4 or 5 GM's but I've been driving Acuras since 1989, with a year and a half stint in a Grand Prix GT (piece of shit!) in 1998. As far as the 02 TL-S its a great car I've had mine since nov 2001 and have put 235,000kms on it and have only changed the tranny once, haven't burned any oil or have any leaks. These cars do not have the usual "built-in obsolesance" that American car mfg's do. The only thing is if you start to mod you won't be able to stop.

welcome to AZ. the good thing is that the ppl here are great and helpful. the bad thing is that seeing alot of the cars on here will make you want to whip out the wallet very quick and mod the hell out of your tl

Going in for tints first week in august.

yeah i would of too if i still live in CT where tint laws are very liberal. But now i live in RI where they are awfull. Legal is 70% everywhere, basiclly nothing is allow but stock. So i took a few weeks to take a survey of how many RI plated cars i saw with tints, so seeign that i saw enough i then decided to get em done, nothing too dark but still decent, getting 35's all around except the windshield. I don't need anything darker seeing as the laws sux.

P.S.
I have to disagree about all GM products have gone down hill because I sell new Chevy's, buick's, and sabb's. Caddilac has come a long way also the new CTS will kick are TL's asses. But enough chit chat I gotta go late.
