3000k/4300K/6000k HID Low Beam/Fogs PICS!

Just arrived today and installed them this afternoon, the 3000k fogs. I've waited so long to see these in person and finally was able to get someone to buy them.

6000k low beams, left is 3000k and right fog is 6000k

4300k low beams on the left and 6000k on the right for low beams, left is 3000k and right fog is 6000k

My car on the left is 4300 lows and fogs, I had 6000ks for all 4 but gave 4300ks a try. Right is 4300k low beams and 3000k hid fogs

Dude the 6000k low beams are tight! I'm torn on the fogs. I love the look of yellow 3000k fogs ala' IS and GS, but the 6000k fogs are also deserving of a declaration of "tightness".

I had gotten the bulbs and ballast for the fogs for $300 and they were used at least the ballasts were supposedly slightly but they've been fine.

My friend bought the 3000ks, forgot how much he had paid but I think it was more than I wanted to pay just to try.

I swap between the 4300k lows/fogs and 6000k lows/fogs every so often.

I had spent $225 for the philips d2r 6000ks from that guy in taiwan most ppl got it from years ago. still good till this day, about 2 years.

i got a set of used ballasts and 6000k philips for both for $350 supposedly used for a few months.

the 9006 4300k bulbs I use for the fogs were i believe $125.... saved me the trouble of rebasing.

bout that car, its not a cop car... some of the taxis/car service in nyc have the same grille thing up front like the cops. it is just a regular car service guy that lives on the block.

It is easy for me, they were both the d2 base so i just take the fog housing off and put the new bulbs in. as easy and changing the halogens.

Hey Guys... that is my WDP up there and I am honestly torn and don't know what look I want.. lol. Its like I'm trying to discover myself...lol. I either can do 4300K top and bottom, 4300K top 3000K bottom (this is what I currently have), 6000K top and bottom or 6000K top and 3000K bottom.

I like the look of matching fogs and light I think, but I wanted the 4300K cuz its just more light on the road. I'm so confused... Arr!!

Question Question about matching fogs

what matches with our stock HIDS?

43000 OR 60000

Actually, if I wanted to be cheap about it, but wanted low beams to match...Which PIAA bulb matches the best and won't melt anything lol ...

PIAA 9006 SUPER PLASMA GTX BULBS lights GT-X HB4

PIAA 9007 SUPER PLASMA GTX BULBS lights HB5 GT-X

PIAA 9006 XTREME WHITE PLUS BULBS lights headlights ~F

I have no clue what the 9006 or 07 stand for... Plz help me find the best match for stock HIDs on a 2000 TL

9006 or 9007 is the type of bulb. The TL takes 9006 for the fogs

Lightbulb

Ok... 9006 is the fitting or type of bulb that fits in the oem fog ballast...

now if I can just find the bulbs that match our hids the closest without having to buy ballasts... I just want a plug n play...

The PIAA Xtreme White Plus are 40000K and our HID's are 43000K will this look funny? I can't find a Plasma blue in 9006 (and I can't find specs anyways) exept for the PIAA 9006 SUPER PLASMA GTX BULBS and I think those might be a bit too purple to match...

I know to match perfectly I'd have to get a HID kit... but I just want to get damn close the most affordable way

Are there any other brands that are good that are durable and match our 43000k HID lowbeams?

I meant without purchasing the ballasts... I just need to figure out which bulb matches best...

PIAA Xtreme White Series or PIAA Super Plasma GTX Bulbs...

This is what the seller say's

Most people that want to match it with their HID bulbs normally go with the Xtreme White Series so they dont have too much of a blue/purple look to their lights. The people who use the GTX bulbs normally use them on their headlights to imitate the look of the HID bulbs. Using the Xtreme White Bulbs would probably work better with your HID low beams.

I just want to know from someone who's done it or knows for our cars... I trust you guys : o )

the PIAA bulbs youre talking about are HALOGENS. NOT HID's. when you buy an HID Plug and Play kit for your fogs, it comes with the ballast, igniter, AND the bulb. so make sure you get the kit that comes with the color choice that you want.

and for the low beams, its already HID, so you just need to replace the bulbs with an HID replacement bulb which are D2R on our TL's. again, make sure its the right color that you want. for the low's you dont need to buy the whole kit, the TL comes with the ignitor and ballast stock for the low beam.

hope that clarifies your situation.

Lightbulb Exotica Erotica !

I think 6000K on all four is what I would do if I had the money : o )

Or I might even do 60000K and then do like 12000K on the fogs would look cool maybe.. I think it would look exotic Yeah !
