Looks nice. I think that the 99-01 front looks more luxury while the 02-03 looks meaner. You custom fit your 99-01 front spoiler onto your 02-03 bumper?

alright it looks good but your missing one thing the side mirrors the 02-03 have a different shape.....and i thought the front lip of a 99-01 would look better on a 02-03....but those holes that are under the fogs seem to not flow to well with the lip.....all in all its a good conversion.....

I like the lip from the 99, but I think that lip is a bit small for that front end. I must say, it does look good though. Good shit.

hey DIRTYJOHN

DIRTYJOHN

I tried to PM you but cant..... Newbie issues??? I dunno - anyhow, I really want to talk with you about your recient conversion from the '00 to th '03 front end.

I am on the edge with dreams of doing it and have found an entire 03 front clip with all the parts I THINK I need. Mint pieces (hood, fenders, lights, grill, bumper) needing to be painted up after I install them.

I want to learn a little about the challenges I will run across and if it will be easy enough for me to do. It sounds (after searching) that it may and may not be a bolt up and go kind of deal. Please if you can contact me back here and give me a couple minutes of your time.
Maybe a briefe phone conversation? Your mod looks awesome!!! And I would like to give San Diego (my spot) a similar piece of unknown eyecandy to glance at. Im glad you stuck with your original mirrors too! Sets it appart.
Hope to hear back from you man~
Thanks!!!

I'm gonna jump in and try to help you out alittle if you don't mind. I did the conversion also, I have a 99 w/the 02-03 conv. If you look in the photo gallery under TW you will see pics of my ride. The conv isn't just an easy swap, you have to modify your radiator support, change your hood, fenders, bumper, grille. There are also small things that you may overlook also like your washer nozzels, foglamp wiring, corner light wiring..etc. It's expensive to do(parts, labor) but I love the look now and you would too once you see the b4 and after visions of your ride.....

I did the conversion too so i can't say it looks bad

However it seems like the job could use some improvement... the parts dont seem to line up even... and the lip definitly doesnt flow well.

Hey I have a question.

I'm trying to convert my 2000 tl also. I just wnted to know what kind of modifications did you make, in order to allow the new hood, to fit on the older version tl?

I think you'll need new fenders, headlights, hood, and front bumper in order for everything to line up correctly.
