billyvader,
its a piece of cake.
1. Go to your local home depot and get this: Rustoleum-Specialty HIGH HEAT spray paint. Comes in a regular spray can. Just get the color you like, silver for your car color.
2. Take off the battery cover. Comes off easily, no clips or bolts to take off. Just pull it straight up and it will come off. Place it to the side for now.
3. Take off the engine cover. There are 4 bolts that hold this inplace. They are all black and are right at the 4 corners of the main cover. Undue these. they should come off easily, these are not tightened very much so they should come right off. Remove the engine cover and place it aside for now.
4. Take off the smaller cover that has the Acura logo and the 3.2 VTEC written on it. To do this, there are two locking plastic clips. Turn them with a flat head screwdriver , 90 degrees counterclockwise, so that the notches are verticle and the push them up from behind the plastic cover. You should be able to feel them from behind the cover, they are a little pointed so be careful. Once they are out, just pull the cover straight up. The little plastic button on the left side of the cover is a pressure plastic nut, just pull up with even pressure and this will come straight off. Be sure to remove the plastic locking clips. You can do this by removing the small plastic washer that holds them on. A
5. Now that the last piece is off, wash them with water and let them all dry.
6. Apply a piece of masking tape to cover the Acura logo and the 3.2 VTEC logo. Use an Xacto knife, or similat to cut around the tape and then remove the extra tape around the edges. This will keep paint off the logo.
7. Once all 3 pieces are dry. Start painting them evenly shaking the spray paint as you go. Apply an even looking coat to all 3 pieces. Let dry (in the sun preferrably) for 1 hour.
8. Remove the tape you applied to the Acura logo plastic cover. and replace the locking plastic clips along with the washer that holds them inplace. Put all the pieces back on. HAND TIGHTEN the 4 black bolts that hold the main engine cover back on. Do not use a rachet, you dont need to tighten them that much, they are just holding a plastic cover on!!
Take a picture and sit back and stare at your sweet looking engine all painted up!
(Maybe this can be added to the FAQ?? HOW-TO paint your engine covers)

Sand the surface? Nope. The plastic is a good sticky surface already. The paint has no problem sticking to it. There is really no need to sand the surface. Just make sure that it is clean and there is absolutely no dust or oil on it and then paint it. Turns out great.

As for a pic. of my brake calipers.... no I don't have one.... but I think YOU do... Wasn't it YOU that posted a picture of MY wheel in a tread one time (a close up shot)? It was taken by... I think you or Stanman, at the Brea meet... Anyway, Stanman might have one... cause he took a lot pictures that day... I'll ask him... BTW, if you do decide to paint your calipers, let me know, I'll give you some tips...
