well OP..

its your car..

just to let you kno.. our cars have transmission problems.. and putting anything larger than 20s gonna help just kill it faster..

good luck with that...

check if you're under warranty if not.. thats just 3-4gs outta your pocket..

take a look at the cars on here lowered on 19s, they look sick. Why not go that style instead of going big and bulky? Just seems like a waste.

I always let the idiots pass me for that exact reason.

Also, if you have HUGE rims there's probably another thing that you need but dont have...Dynamat. Your system sounds like SHIT!

Holy cow those rims are huge! They'd look sweet on a Charger or 300c though.

You said everyone over there have bigger rims on cars. Why don't you go the other way and try to stand out of the crowd and go lower a few inches with some nice set of wheels.

Uhmm, greeno728, guys around here don't like big wheels and the DONK thing on TL's. You might've figured that out already though.

You're gonna have to survive the flaming I'm afraid, cause everyone has an opinion. But they are really good guys if you hang around to find out.

You're gonna have to post time slip and/or vid to convince anyone you're running 14's. Until you can post proof, you might keep that claim quiet; just asking for more flames.

Being out of the mainstream with your look, my best advice is too keep it low key and stay humble until you build up some cred.

I mean he did request opinions lol. Look I think big rims are popular no matter where you live bro not just the N.O, now you cant just throw big rims on anything and everything. TLs are not meant to have those size wheels, at this point decide if you like the car or having big rims more and make a move from there.

ha yeah we all get pulled over on a regular basis, thats y my windows are no longer tinted.
As for everyone flaming me, i knew that was going to happen as soon as i posted it, but i really didnt care, the car is still under the warranty for the tranny, i never read up that the cars had tranny problems, so if someone could fill me in on what i need to do to get it replaced would help tremendously.

i like the tuner look, but i just cant see myself doing it, like one of my friends has a turboed rsx, clean car, but its just not me, i didnt buy the car to go fast or build some fast car, i bought it because of the luxurious feel

Let me guess. Stock brakes? And do you really think they are going to honor a warranty for a transmission when you run 22s??? If either of those are true, you fail.

And I'm all down for something different. But there is a fine line between different, and ridiculous. You broke your nose from falling over it so hard. I showed the fiancee to test it, she laughed. You failed the test.

At least you came in knowing it would get made fun of. Props for not being the typical internet tough guy when people flame your car.

i still have the stock wheels, i will put them on and pull of the rear coil spring boosters when i bring it in.

whats the reason of gettin mad if people make fun of my car, honestly i can say i will probably meet very few if any of you in real life, so whats the point of gettin all pissed off and wanting to fight people.like everyone said, everybody has there own style and taste, i just happen to like large rims on cars, you guys like smaller rims and lowered cars, like i said i like that style but just cant see myself rocking that.

But if i have any questions i'll be sure to ask, thanks for all the comments

You were brave to put that up, props for that.

But on this forum that's like yourself.

You bought the car for its luxurious feel, but honestly those rims take away from that. Hopefully you will downsize one day, if your looking for some ideas check this thread out.

Not all of them are great, but to each his/her own.

You're taking this criticism quite well and I can respect that. If you're really into the big wheel thing, buy a Charger or 300C like others have said. Those cars pull that off a lot better than any Acura.

Now thats the spirit VIP looks so sick. Can't wait to see how your car looks after you begin that journey. You show a lot of pride in standing up for what you like I respect that

Well at least the OP has come to his senses. Although if you buy the Dodge Charger you can pull off the large wheels because the wheel wells are large enough to make them look good. The TL cannot so they look like crap.
