XS Power Headers 2014?

Yello.
So I'm in the market for headers as I have some extra dough. Comptech is out of the question I can't justify spending a G on them.
So I'm thinking about xs-power headers. All I've seen is old threads about them dating back years ago. Has anyone had any experience with them in 2013/2014
And If there any good should I go through xs-power.com or ssautochrome or is it all the same?

DC sports are the go to for everyone, $400ish depending on where you get them

Unless you can get your hands on the single flex-pipe design go with DC-Sports.

Hmm dang, I was hoping for the $260 xs headers. As I'm only going to have the car for about 2 more years.

Are they that bad? http://www.xs-power.com/acura-honda-...-headers-2.htm

Check out the on going header thread in the CL section. You can get the single flex joint header. The quality seems to be good from what people are posting.

I recently put the XS headers on. No fitment issues at all. Easy to install. 3 bolt flange, single flex pipe. I paid 180, but that was only because i recieved poor service from a man who no longer works there.

Honestly all the shorties are the same as far as power gains go. I cannot see the xs headers, dc headers, or CT headers making any gains over another. The CT headers are pricey because of the carb number. Same goes for the 3 inch cold air intakes. I can't see the aem making any more power over the Ebay ones.

What pisses me off is not one company offers a long tube header design. Wtf

Long tubes are not going to be practical PnP, CAT Delete is in order too to gain full performance so it will be completely Illegal in any way shape and form... I think RV6 was making some long tube designs but dunno how its doing today.

All shorties are PnP that even an Amateur DIYer can install so that's where the money is.

I bought the XS-Powers from SSautochrome in..2012? Anyway no fitment issues and gaskets were fine and no codes or problems, i will say that the car when in starts in freezing temperatures makes an odd vibration noise (coming from the headers) when you give it the beans.

I just know that the default headers are the DC ones.
But never had too much feedback about the Megan ones.
Both are around the same price for me right now.

I would go with dc sport headers. I had a problem with mine and they sent me out another set right away. Most people use the dc sport headers from what I have seen. You can also go with xs power header for 260$ shipped I received mine yesterday and they look good.

Got my XS headers yesterday as well. The quality looks good, started a thread on them in the 2G TL section, plan to have them install in the next week. I'll let you know how they turn out.

Just using this info for my own benifit, but had one question. Can the headers be installed without a lift? I wana be able to take an afternoon to do this but wasn't sure if I need an engine cradle or anything special?

^ Engine cradle?????

You don't need anything more than a floor jack to install the J-Pipe, It wont be comfortable but at least is how I did it. The Headers themselves are engine bay work at car level.

It will take time but you don't need anything fancy to install them.

Floor jack, 2 jack stands & O2 sensor wrench are the only special tool you should need. 3-4 hrs should be plenty of time as long as you have no problems with the Cat bolts (WD-40, PB Blaster,....).

cat bolts always are rusted out on my cars. Gotta love Ohio winters. I have to saw them off every time. Granted I am good at it now and it takes maybe a couple mins to get both off.

Some times a nut spliter will do the trick so you can salvage the studs

I live in snowy salty WI and my exhaust actually unbolted completely. I just hit them with a torch before even trying to remove them and they came right off without a cheater bar even.

Well we have loads of humidity on SD.. When I tried to unbolt my mufflers for the Straight Pipes they would not move an inch.. I actually stripped them (Made them round) before they budge a single mm.

Luckily I had issues only with my J-Pipe to Cat when I did my Headers.

Skirmich, what your setup for the straight pipe? What muffler did you delete?
Another question: will 98 - 02 accord v6 header fit on our TL? is that direct bolt on or need modification?

In Milwaukee the winters are long, harsh, and salty. I still managed to remove every bolt so far, complete exhaust included, without cutting!
