Would like to Wrap my TL!

So, my clear coat is coming off on my 99 TL. It looks horrible. So, I was thinking about sanding down the clear coat. Evening out as much as possible. Then wrapping it with a glossy navy blue vinyl wrap. Such as this:

Navy Blue Gloss Vinyl

I know its a pain to install the wrap, but I am prepared to put in the time and work.

I would like to know if there is anyone else that has done this already. And can someone point me in the right direction in terms of the right type of vinyl wrap to use.

Thanks in advance!

Vinyl will be super expensive to wrap your whole car... Do you know plasti dip? Is a little bit harder to apply but shit loads cheaper and pretty much the same results.

So plasti dip will cost me $560 to get the glossy navy blue color I would like. (from dipyourcar.com)

The wrap vinyl website I found is $405 for 5*65 feet, which seems like enough for the whole car. Cheaper than the plasti dip. Do you think the site is not legit maybe?

Yeppur there are Cheaper Vinyl's..
BUT Plasti Dip wont fade like a whore with the sun like the cheaper vinyl will.

The 3M Vinyl which is kinda the best of the best is STUPID EXPENSIVE... Ebay Vinyls are basically the worst end guaranteed to fade with the sun so your Navy Blue will become Light Blue in a matter of weeks... Plasti Dip + Gloss its basically A painted car...

Vinyl is more expensive than Plasti Dip.. That is.. GOOD VINYL.

Just try to search for 3M DI-NOC Carbon Fiber Vinyl and see the prices of the cheapo Carbon Fiber? NOTHING COMPARES to 3M DI-NOC Carbon Fiber.. You get what you pay for.

You can buy plasti dip for about $7 and spray guns at Walmart for $25 and do your whole car. It looks great and doesn't fade like hell.
Me and my boyfriend did his 6th gen accord for under $100, including the gun and paint. And plus you dont have to sand it either. It saves alot of time and money and it still looks great. Theres hardly anyroom for messing up.

After having seen vinyl, plasti dip, and paint. Paint is what looks best.

I would not DIY vinyl by any means, especially if you are inexperienced. Vinyl looks great if a professional installs it, but being a person who is detail oriented, the folds at the corners become bothersome.

Yes, Plasti-dip is the cheapest, but I would honestly not go that route. It's mainly there for temporary use. I also haven't seen a Plasti-dip job that has impressed me, other than on pictures. Even then pictures are different compared to in person.
