What should I do to add more power?

I have an 03 TL base model. I already know I should get a cold air intake but what else should I do to add to the performance of my vehicle?

Your next objective should be to free up air flow on the exhaust side. I recommend an aftermarket "header"/J-Pipe, like the DC Sports ceramic ones we have available on our website for $380.89 not including shipping.
DC Sports Ceramic Headers - Excelerate Performance - Japanese and European Performance Specialists!!

You could also swap in our XLR8 test pipe to replace your cat and gain some extra power. We have it available for $139 not including shipping. You can order it right from our website:

Thank you both! But ExcelerateRep what is the difference between getting ceramic headers or stainless steal?

Also HairyMonkey019 when it comes to the under drive pully any recommended brands? Like the colored OBX obviously stands out but what's your thoughts?

BOMZ brand is on ebay- if they don't have listing for your exact year contact them- they have the part and will hook you up.

On the other end of the price spectrum is Excelerates offering, a work of art in billet machining and laser etching

when you remove more than 10 of 12 pounds on the end of the rotating crankshaft- it revs like crazy fast! that's why its described as freeing up existing power = lost to the extra mass. Very cool mod for anyone who likes to buzz the motor into VTEC rpm ranges frequently
Air IN air OUT and low rotation mass = more power for least money

Next look at your brakes- if stock they need attention soon
All the fast in the world doesn't matter if it wont slow and stop in a bigger hurry

Ck the websites of our vendors and their post in `The black market` `Sponsored Sales` for product details

Finally: ck out websites of local road race tracks for `track day driving schools` - Various car clubs rent the track for a day- you attend with your car, a professional race driver coaches you ever closer to the real limits of your car.
Sometimes, the ability to operate at the limits- to predict and avoid an accident scene,, is a handy skill

I have decently new brakes. Although, I am actually thinking of investing into some EBC Ultimax Slotted Rotors for the front and rear with EBC Green Stuff Brake Pads. Any word of advice on that?

Bomz racing is the way to go. It won't say Bomz though, it will seem just like a no named brand.
Everyone that has one on this forum has had 0 issues.

I literally bought the cheapest one
http://www.ebay.com/itm/1998-2002-HONDA-ACCORD-EX-LX-ACURA-CL-TL-TYPE-S-3-0L-3-2L-UNDERDRIVE-PULLEY-KIT-/381082832310?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item58ba4e8db6&vxp=mtr
it ended up being Bomz Racing

The DC Sports headers are actually made from a T409 stainless steel alloy with a proprietary ceramic coating that is resistant to temperatures and corrosion. The T304 Stainless Steel is also designed to withstand high temps and corrosion, so it's really just a matter of preference and looks.

I really thought the BOMZ would be the one with perforations.. Does that design really differ much in weight Vs the OEM?? I know its Aluminum Vs Steel but did you weight it?

How about your electrical system, Have you checked your charge voltage? I have the stock sized pulley since I got my Audio System but I would like to know if I can pull it off with the underdrive.

OBX does a Pulley too: http://www.ebay.com/itm/OBX-UNDERDRIVE-CRANK-PULLEY-97-99-03-Acura-TL-CL-V6-P-/181674700811?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item2a4ca7f00b&vxp=mtr

I didn't actually weigh it, but it was extremely light compared to the stock one.

Electrical I didn't notice much other than the AC. Once I press the gas a little bit, you will hear the AC blow harder.

OBX is cool, but a "no name brand" that performs just as well at 1/3 the cost is cooler.

^ Ouch then Underdrive isn't for me I can see my poor dashboard dim when the Sub is hitting it hard with some 14v drops... If I ever re-wind my Alternator I will give the underdrive a spin.

stock crank pulley = 12 pounds
bomz and others = UNDER 2 pounds!!! (that's the shipping weight with box!)
that's an incredible reduction off the end of the rotating mass of the crankshaft
Means it revs fast and gets into vtec rpm quickly- where the power is

we don't use the 3 pulley setup , just the crank pulley
Dimming of dash lights now indicates weak ground cables, there are several of them,
A larger battery will help if you run over 1000 watts and insist on full volume at stoplights

I have a big 4 01tl so my grounds are big fat ass 2AWG wires and an extra Alternator Ground to Chassis. The 120A is "Enough" for 1K RMS but surely A/C + Full Blast of Sub will make it work harder.. The under drive pulley will just kill it on idle.

I wonder if having the Alternator + P/S pulley made out of aluminum will also help a little?

I have the lightweight underdrive pulley and have a system setup running somewhere in the area of 700-800w continuous (peaks much higher) and dont have a problem with the AC on at a stop I notice the voltage drop to around 11.8 - 12.3 every now and then when doing so but within a short period of time it will jump back up to 13-14.
