2003 tl type s

So I bought a 2003 tlvtype s a while back. She runs perfectly even at 237xxx. I was just wondering how long these engines usually last? Also, is there a different engine I could swap into it that'll make it faster? I love the body and want to keep the car but I just don't know how long this engine will last. I'm new to the Acuras.

Even At 237K the engine is strong these are Hondas, You can expect a million miles out of these engines with proper care... If you have the maintenance records and it shows the engine has been taken cared of? That engine has the same Horse Power as the Day it Came out of the Factory.

Why an engine swap? are you already bolted on? What are yours mods?
if not your best bet is Headers/Intake/Exhaust for the best bang for your buck, you can re-use them in a J35 Engine Swap later on so you wont waste money on Bolt-Ons on the TL.

I haven't don't anything to her yet. I have all the records from the previous owner and I've had her for a year. Nothing wrong with her. Just the regular maintenance. She's still stock. I haven't invested yet because i didn't if it it be with it or not.

With bolt ons you can expect to top out at 250whp on the AUTO.. Which is on par with most high end brand new cars with a V6.. In short a very quick sub 5.5 seconds 0-60mph car...the good thing is that almost all bolt ons will fit in another engine swap: the popular J35 swap.

Your call! New car payments or one time payment to make it a very quick luxury sedan.

We have plenty of awesome options for bolt-ons for your vehicle. As Skirmich mentioned, you might want to start off with a intake/header/exhaust. The Tanabe Medalion Touring is my favorite for this car.
