Alpine makes decent stuff. If money is no object look into Image Dynamics. Incredible speakers!

i had 2 Infinity Kappa Perfect 12.1 D's in my accord. They hit really hard and sounded amazing. to this day still the best sounding subs i've ever heard.

to qoute uncald4 "if you put two kicker l7 10s or 12s, you'll shit your pants".....he told me this when i was asking about my l7 15, and said i was originally was thinking of getting 2 l7 12s....so basically if you like alot of bass go for it....

also for you new guys uncald4 is one of the main guys to talk about systems on the forum....

id install a 7" flip out dvd thats ipod compatible and features a touchscreen, such as Jensen's VM9412 ($499.99), then id get some JBL Power Series P550c for the doors, a pair of audiobahn 12's in the back for my bass needs (i listen to alot of dance music, so i need my bass) then round the package off with a decent amp that will give me room to expand in the future. i dont need something real powerful, just high quality throughout the volume range.

well now this is where i thinik i have a lot of knowledge in thanks to my friend who used to compete and set a nc state record in the amature class back in the day. it all depends on wat u want to build. quality or no quality. i had a 05 alpine CDA-9855, infinity Kappa's 6.25 up front and the rear was just a fill becuz u want to focus everythin to the center and esentially make the dash/ front seat area the stage and have everythin focued to the center of that stage. now the door and rear panel were powered by a 05 alpine (dont remeber the model #) 250W 4 channel amp with teh rear 6x9's wired in series and the i had 2 10" infinity refernce woofers in a 36" sewage pipe(i know sounds weird huh lol) and 06 HIfonics titan 600W 2 Ch. amp powering them and when i wanted blow the door off peeps i could but i was also able to hear my music and very clearly. i heard every note and instrument with that. i just never got around to finishin it lol. if u have any ?'s PM and i will do wat i can ot help u out

JL is pretty pricey man. They make pretty good stuff but you can get something comparable for a lot less if you shop around.

I am going to put in an Alpine IDA-W205 Head Unit, one RF 12 in an OBCON box and a 6 channel JBL GTO 5355. But my question is........if I keep the factory Bose speakers but hook them up to the JBL, would they sound OK? I don't wanna spend the money for separates right now, but when I do, they are gonna be Infinity Kappa 6.5 seperates, front and back.

ive always prefered infinty and alpine but really u can over power a speaker all day long and not hurt it but when u underpower a speaker it will kill it. i hurt my kappa's that way cuz i was impatient. so watever u decide just dont under power it
