Vinyl Overlay on Door trims

Need some opinions: I'm getting a bit tired of the bowling ball looking interior trim and was thinking of covering the door trims with some vinyl. Since I don't have the skills to remove them and don't feel like spending money on an entire door panel when I mess up.

Trying to remember off the top of my head the pieces that would need to be covered would be the 4 door trims and the 2 pieces on the side, next to the shifter. Am I missing

I did a bit searching on the internet and came across this site. Some of their sample pictures look pretty good. Has anyone had any experience with vinyl overlay? or this stuff from this site? They also have other colors, but I think carbon fiber probably look the best or the titanium.

BUMP for your opinion. Thinking of ordering the titanium color vinyl and wrapping the door trims. You think I can do it without removing it?

I like it...I was contemplating doing a hydro graphic transfer but not particularily carbon fiber.

If you like it...that's all that matters

I know it's all up to personal taste. But I don't know if it will look good, it just looks like a tight fit without truely taking out the door trim. You're lucky you already have that alinumum trimming for the CL.

No...I have the shitty bowling ball on mine too.

Only 2003 came with the silver trim on the CL.

I would maybe let a professional do it if you are worried about it.

I was just thinking this could be a nice mod to spruce up the interior. I'm going to try and order some from ebay, since its a bit cheaper than the website that I listed. I just dont want it to look tacky. I'll let you know how it turns out. I'm just trying to figure out how to lay it over the door trim...

Lay the vinyl on top of the door trim and then cut the extra out, and some how tuck it under the trimming for a better hold.

It was harder than I thought...I blacked out my chrome trim and it was a beotch!!!

Good luck and keep us updated.

A whole shit load of patience!

My friend did a good write up on the trim DIY for his TSX.

I'll try to find it for you.
