Which upgrade to do...

So here it is. About to do my timing belt job. Car is at 107,xxx pretty much stock. I am considering doing an intake manifold spacer/tb spacer/ phelonic gasket kit or an underdrive pulley. The XLR8 pulley would be an easy on off during the install and would net gains. The outlaw engineering kit (along with some fresh denso's) would be a bigger install along with the timing belt but would handle some more of the maintenance aspect. Any advice?

oh and btw, can't do both, so don't even go there...

Why not get the Option racing pulley? It's $25 bucks and many members including my self run it. belts are $20.

And at 105K you need new plugs as well if you've never changed them. The Denso are way too pricey, I'd go with the NGK.

Denso is O.E. and they're not that much more expensive. I'm not planning on having to change them for another 90k so i don't mind the couple extra bucks.

as for the option pulley i'm a big UR fan and they make quality parts. No offense but i've never heard of option and i'm leary of inexpensive parts in critical areas (like a crank pulley). But i'll do some digging. How many miles on your crank pulley?

Just put it on, but there are members running it for 50k or more in the CL section with no issues. I've run AEM and UR pulleys before as well just because I got incredible deals on them. Same thing 5x the price from what I can tell!

Keep in mind that any aluminum pulley will wear eventually.

right, not gonna argue that one. I just know i'd kill somone if the pulley wasn't milled right or wasn't balanced right. if it was a ps pulley or alternator i wouldn't be so worried. Can't seem to find them on e-bay.

I understand, I would be weary as well but after seeing so many members use them I jumped on it. I got the Goodyear Gatorback belts on Ebay as well.

well it looks like i'll be doing both. $25 for the pulley isn't bad at all.

i'll admit that my IM was a bit cooler to touch after driving but imo, that mod is one of those i got nothing else to do to my car mods.

They dyno proved some serious gains. For $100, 5-7 tq isn't bad at all. I think it was like 9 hp or something.
