Has anyone used universal mufflers on there TL-P? Specificall from HKS?

 

Let me elaborate, I want to get two universal mufflers from HKS which are 60mm and put them on my 03 TL-P. I know comptech is extremely popular here but the sound is extremely quiet with the comptech. Ive been researching and the stock piping in the TL is only 2.25 which means the 60mm will not fit. After further research, they can still weld it on but I would need to get a new tip? Is this correct?

 

you should be set if your buying just 2 mufflers, they should have the tips on them, if im understanding what your saying correctly, it would be easier if you had a picture to show

youre gonna have to take em to a muffler shop to have them welded on and made hangars for

youre probably better off just getting tips or an axleback

 

ok now that we are talking about HKS, what about T1. I know they are a bit more expensive, but I love how it tounds on 04 TL....would there be a difference between 01 and 04 TL with the same exhaust? I have found that clip on youtube. It sounds glorious. Everyone should check it out!!!

 

Why are you only interested in the mufflers and not a full cat back system? HP gains will be greater with the latter.
