I recently ran with a 5speed TL 2001 and he had a short ram intake I have a 99TL 4speed short ram. We were side by side untli I was halfway threw third when he won by 2 cars. All the cars Ive raced in third always get an advantage but in 4th and vtech activates I cachem but the race isnt long enough to get to 4th. Is it an advantage having the 5 speed? and Ive tried shifting between 6500rpm and 7000rpm but dont notice much difference. Should I program the vtech to activate earlier? I feel that the third is very long.
